Come on, Spring!

For some of us Canadians, winter is almost over. For those of you on the East Coast, you have my sympathies. Spring will come, it always does. In the meantime, though, we gardeners need something to tide us over. Fortunately for a good number of us, a visit to a greenhouse or conservatory will do the trick.

I visited Allen Gardens in Toronto this weekend as it isn’t too far and always provides a warm, colourful atmosphere during the chilling early spring temps.

I don’t want this blog to be much more than a push to get you to find some greenery near you. This may mean walking through your local greenhouse where the pressure to buy forced spring blooms may be overwhelming. You will benefit from the sights, scents, and general spring feel of the place.

Spring is on its way, but if you’re like me, and can’t wait anymore, get out and find some of your own. Here’s a little floral motivation to get you started.
